retreat

Ooooo I havent blogged in forever so why not now right after I came back from an awsome Night of Transformation:Liberation at thier (Taylor's) weekly praise nights on thursday. Lol it was awsome I sang until my throat hurt (havent done that in a long time)heh... I didnt care when i sang the wrong note or key during a new song i didnt know(havent done this in a long time too) I havent been to too many "good" praise nights these past years, good is in quotations because all the ones that i went to felt so fake. you go to one of them and the praise team is up there spotlights on themselves making it seem like a great big concert for themselves when its supposed to be Just for God. Recently my Church's praise ministry underwent a humoungous revampin, total changes, and as usual changes are hard to accept, but one of the main reasons given for this change was "focus". They wanted the focus to be just on God, i seriously totally agree. I think praise teams take too much credit and steal God's glory, of course i dont mean this for all praise teams/bands but seriously i've seen so many who they themselves had said that they arent doing it for the right reasons. I think when i decided to stay on the praise team i really needed to think about servanthood, humility. Seeing as humbleness humility and servanthood is what is most important in the kingdom of God on earth (our church) i had to totally change my view of being on the praise team, we must decrease God must increase, we arent up there for our own glory we arent the LEADERS, but we are servants, helping to lead the congregation to worship the One True God. But on a different note this praise night totaly reminded me of this, and our true focus when playing up on stage.

well finally get to my point the retreat. Christian Spirituallity (REL 262) heh... oh man, probably the most religionish class i have in taylor. Its great its telling me everything i am doing wrong and how to improve my walk with Jesus. I would be learning lots if i actually do everything on time rather than cramming it in last minute. My old bad highschool procrastination habits are affecting my post secondary grrrr.... But yeah so we're going to a church sound of leduc about 30 minutes drive from taylor, which is awsome about 50 of us all Christians heading out to some secluded rural church just for retreat, and get closer to God. I heard we are going to be fasting which is gonna be kewl cuz unlike 30 hr famine its not gonna be fun and game and EAT jello when your hungry hahaha its just gonna be water for 24 hours and meditation which is sweet cuz i've never done that before. But its funny cuz my professor bringing us is like ABSOLUTELY NO HOMEWORK, which is pretty funny cuz right now is like midterms -_ - so i am not looking forward to coming back from the retreat hahah, ahhh well. But I am seriously loving my experience at taylor right now its like intense but also so rewarding. hopefully i can make it totally count in my future years, and hopefully i can get my parents to let me stay another year....... lol but i am scared, cuz that might lead to another year and another year and before i know i might have my seminary degree.....oooo wierd Pastor Jordan... can any of you guys see that? i totally cant hahaha ah well All in Gods Time and Will.... hopefully well i got to wake up at 6 and go swimming with my parents i am sooo gonna be a zombie and sleep and forget to come up for air and then suffocate.


oh heeey forgot i read this thing on this guy's shirt today in my econ class hilarious it said:
there were two Fish in a green tank, one of them turned to the other and said......Do you know how do i drive this thing
hahahaha aint i great oh man econ class the most boring class ever! so i resort to reading words on the back of people's shirts.... well byes see you after the retreat hopefully :D
